Rudder jig

Here is the rudder jig.

Constructed from some ply and cedar wood I had spare, which I cut using a bench saw. The purpose of this is to keep the sides of the ply panels aligned while the epoxy cures at the leading edge of the rudder

  1. Hi, I intend to build a kd650 - just got the study plans. Happy to see that you started the blog so we can share pains and tribulations. I live in France. I am busy with a costing - do you have any idea what the materials will cost you?

  2. Hi Piet

I expect materials for the hulls will be around $5000 NZD or $3000 EUR. I have found researching materials to be very time consuming but now I have found good suppliers it should be easier from now on.
